We all agree that the history of leather in China is classified and scientific, with clear entries and rigorous structure. Its publication is a major event in the development of leather industry in China. It will fill a gap in the history of leather industry in China.

The history of leather in China takes the development course of the long history of ancient China, modern times and modern history as the main thread. It records the magnificent development process of the ancient and legendary leather industry with more than 200 million words in the ocean, and has written the miracle of the leather industry in the Chinese mainland to produce, develop and create the world's leather power with rich historical events.

The history of leather in China is classified vertically and horizontally.

There are ten chapters in the book. From the content level, the main body is the history of leather industry, according to the modern understanding of leather industry, including leather making, fur, shoemaking, etc.

Leather goods, leather chemicals, leather machinery, leather hardware shoes materials and so on.

From the time level, it covers the history of leather in ancient China and modern times (first article), and the history of modern leather (second articles), mainly based on modern leather history. From the regional level, there are different national leather industry discussions, and different provinces have their own characteristics (third articles and fourth articles). From the contribution level of workers, the achievements of science and technology educators (fifth articles), the contribution of managers (sixth articles), and the demeanor of enterprises and representatives are described respectively (seventh, eighth articles).

The book also contains leather related cultural heritage (Ninth articles), which can further show readers the wonderful results and magical legends of leather products and leather culture integrating into people's lives for thousands of years, increasing the interest and readability of the book.

The book finally provides readers with tenth references.

The history of leather in China enables readers to understand, learn, appreciate and celebrate the epic of China's leather industry from a historical, regional and humanistic perspective.

It is not only a textbook and reference book for leather professionals, but also a reference for government and research departments. In addition, the book is also a knowledge and interesting popular science book.

In September 2008, the six China Leather Association enlarged its two executive meeting to make a decision. The Leather Association of China organized the preparation of the history of leather in China. It lasted for eight years, and it was read countless. With the support of local industry associations, colleges and universities and key enterprises, more than 80 people participated in the preparation and examination, and finally completed the work.

The history of leather in China will be officially published in late August 2016. It will be the eighth member congress of China Leather Association and the eight enlarged meeting of directors.
