The 34 year old Maja Weiss was born in the former Republic of Yugoslavia. After finishing her textile and fashion design course at University of Ljubljana, she went to Belgium and began to continue her studies at the famous Royal College of Art in Antwerp.

After graduating in 2010, Maja Weiss worked in Y-Project, Bruno Pieters and other brands, and met Demna Gvasalia in 2014, and then participated in the creation of Vetements.
