Recently, the Henan Provincial Department of Finance issued data show that the total business income of the province's enterprises in 2018 totaled 2 trillion and 769 billion 30 million yuan, an increase of 13.9% over the same period last year, and realized a profit of 109 billion 290 million yuan, an increase of 3.7% over the same period last year. Among them, industrial enterprises realized total revenue of 2 trillion and 219 billion 210 million yuan, up 14.4% over the same period last year, and realized a profit of 74 billion 440 million yuan, an increase of 15.6% over the same period last year.

From the data analysis, in 2018, the total revenue of 14 industrial sectors in the province maintained a growth trend. More than 70% of the total profits of the industrial sector grew year on year. The top five industries of profit growth are iron and steel, chemical industry, building materials, electronics and textiles.

Overall, in 2018, Henan's industrial transformation and upgrading continued to advance and new kinetic energy continued to form. The growth rate of manufacturing industry which is in line with the direction of industrial transformation and upgrading has increased by 19% compared with the same period last year, and the profit grew by 10.9% compared with the same period last year. The income of strategic emerging industries reflecting the level of scientific and technological innovation increased by 18.2% compared with the same period last year, and the profit grew by 8.6% over the same period. The upgrading effect of traditional pillar industries was obvious, the income increased 11.5% and the profit grew 31.8% over the same period last year.
