According to the Pakistan forum express June 20th, A Chuck Zahi, President of the all China Federation of industry and commerce, said in Kunming's participation in the China South Asian Cooperation Forum held during the South Asian and Southeast Asian commodity trade conference in 2019, that the implementation of the second phase of the FTA agreement is expected to boost Pakistan's exports to China to 5 billion US dollars.

A forum said that the important export products of Pakistan cotton yarn, agricultural products, leather goods and other important export products in the second phase of the Sino Pakistani FTA Agreement are listed on tariff relief and will enjoy the same treatment as ASEAN countries entering the Chinese market. This will greatly promote Pakistan's export to China.

According to official statistics from Pakistan, Pakistan exported only $1 billion 740 million to China in the financial year 2017/18, while Pakistan's exports to the United States were $3 billion 367 million. After the implementation of the second phase of the FTA, China is expected to overtake the United States as the largest export destination for Pakistan, and its exports are expected to grow to 5 billion US dollars.
