BM leather is a 100% environment-friendly, animal friendly, chemical free leather substitute. It uses a kind of waste material produced in beer brewing process to make it into a leather imitation fabric, but it will be biodegraded (or even fertilized) after treatment. Designer Mi Zhou designed this material for Stella Macartney Stella (McCartney) to make fashion more sustainable without waste and waste.

For every ton of beer produced, there will be 1/4 tons of wine mash, that is, the remaining grain / pulp left in the process of brewing. Converting it into fabric, the byproduct of BM leather has expanded its fashion to a certain extent. Mi Zhou, in partnership with Beaverton brewery, is made from residual wet mash, mainly consisting of mashed grains, rice husk, sugar and water.
