In 1-11 months of 2019, China imported 1 million 782 thousand and 400 tons of cotton yarn, down 6.59% from the same period last year, and exported 346 thousand and 600 tons, down 6.64% from the same period last year.

In 2019/20, China imported 452 thousand and 700 tons of cotton yarn, a decrease of 5.32% compared to the same period last year, and a total export of 78 thousand and 900 tons, down 8.72% from the same period last year.
