However, according to the statistics of the International Textile Bureau, many countries do not have mandatory requirements for the labels of textiles, but allow manufacturers to identify products that enter the market according to their own rules.

This often sets new non-tariff barriers for developed countries to give play to space.

In April 2006, the European Union submitted a motion to the world trade organization to discuss the issue of non-tariff barriers on textiles, clothing and footwear products, mainly referring to the labelling of textiles.

The United States also submitted a motion to the WTO.
