According to the early-warning information of the foreign trade and Economic Cooperation Bureau, foreign trade protectionism is on the rise. Some countries in South America are considering joint action to take restrictive measures for more traditional Chinese exports.

The main reason is that the investigation involves a wide range.

According to the person in charge of the above, anti-dumping investigations on shoes in the past are mostly related to the categories of products which are not covered by Quanzhou shoe enterprises. Therefore, anti-dumping investigations are often "big thunder and little rain" for Quanzhou enterprises.

However, from the end of last year's Brazil anti-dumping investigation, the anti-dumping investigation by Quanzhou enterprises is gradually evolving into "big thunder and big raindrops".

What worries Quanzhou's foreign trade is that with the rise of trade protectionism, the anti-dumping problems faced by Quanzhou enterprises may be more and more.

According to the statistics of Quanzhou foreign trade and Economic Cooperation Bureau, in 2007, Quanzhou only encountered 4 anti-dumping and countervailing investigations, involving 6 enterprises, and by 2008, the anti-dumping investigation and countervailing investigation against Quanzhou had soared, and 14 anti-dumping and countervailing investigations launched by 6 countries were involved, and the number of involved enterprises increased to 43.

As time went on in 2009, the anti-dumping and countervailing investigations that Quanzhou enterprises had to face did not decrease. In a short span of two months, Quanzhou enterprises had encountered anti-dumping investigations against shoes by Canada and Argentina.

Under such frequent anti-dumping investigations, the responsible persons pointed out that enterprises are the main body of the anti-dumping cases. The majority of footwear enterprises should eliminate the wrong idea of "free riding" and conscientiously do the work of responding to each link according to the relevant timetable of anti-dumping cases.

If we want to fight the war against anti-dumping, it is obvious that we can only rely on several companies to fight alone.

In fact, anti-dumping is also a reshuffle of the market.

Anti dumping may lead to a decline in exports and even bankruptcies. However, some private enterprises are more familiar with the WTO rules by responding to anti-dumping, and use the law and dispute settlement mechanism to safeguard the legitimate rights and interests of enterprises. At the same time, they adjust their business strategies in time to consolidate and expand their market share.
