Footwear Sales Fell Sharply In Mexico In February
According to the Mexico Financial Daily quoted in March 19th, the national supermarket and retail association announced that the total retail sales in February 2009 amounted to 57 billion 700 million US dollars, down 7 billion 200 million US dollars compared with January.
Among them, footwear and Clothing Sales decreased most significantly, with a decrease of 5.8% and 1.4% respectively. The retail volume of the Mexico national supermarket has also declined, 7.8 percentage points lower than in January.
