US Cotton Exports: Total Contract Volume And Shipment Volume Decreased By 30%.

According to the US Department of agriculture (USDA) released in March 19th

In the week from March 6th to March 12th, the United States signed a total of 44515.6 tons of upland cotton, a decrease of 31% from the previous week, 48% lower than the average level of the previous four weeks.

The main buyers are mainland China (7869.8 tons), Turkey (7085 tons), Vietnam (5319.2 tons), Bangladesh (3444.4 tons), Indonesia (3291.8 tons), Pakistan (3204.6 tons), Taiwan, China (3182.8 tons) and Mexico (2398 tons).

Signing the new cotton 1177.2 tons in 2009/10, mainly sold to Indonesia (893.8 tons) and Thailand (283.4 tons).

The actual shipment volume was 36144.4 tons, down 30% from the previous week, less than 18% of the average level of nearly four weeks.

They are mainly shipped to the mainland of China (9177.8 tons), Turkey (4992.2 tons), Mexico (4425.4 tons), Indonesia (2964.8 tons), Pakistan (1983.8 tons) and Thailand (1831.2 tons).

The net contract volume in mainland China was 7869.8 tonnes, 36% less than last week, 18% of the total contracted volume, 9177.8 tons shipped, 53% less than last week, accounting for 25% of the total shipment.
