At a public meeting of Gujarat Bong Raj Huo De's organization at the India Federation of export organizations (FIEO), Mr. Singer, regional director of the India General Administration of foreign trade, asked textile exporters not to rely solely on stimulus policies, but to find ways to get rid of the trend of economic recession.

Mr. Singer said that Gujarat has become the front line of India's exports. The government has introduced policies to encourage exports of goods rather than exports of raw materials, and suggests exporters to export value-added products to increase foreign exchange earnings.
