2009/4/11 0:00:00 21

According to the Ministry of Commerce, under the influence of the global financial crisis, international trade protectionism has risen rapidly, and the trade frictions faced by our country have increased. In the first quarter, China's export products were investigated by more than 20 anti-dumping cases, countervailing measures, safeguard measures and special safeguard measures in 10 countries and regions, and 16 cases involving Shandong increased by 129% compared with the same period last year. The number of involved enterprises was 103, and the amount involved was about 36000000 US dollars, unchanged from the same period last year.

Footwear, chemical and textile products account for the top three cases in Shandong Province, involving 23 million, 6 million and 4 million dollars respectively.

The anti-dumping investigation initiated by Brazil, Canada and Argentina to China's footwear industry, involving more than 40 enterprises in Shandong Province, involving more than one million U.S. dollars in 10 enterprises, all of Qingdao enterprises.

Trade frictions between emerging market countries and China are particularly prominent.

Because of the strong homogeneity and fierce competition of China's export advantage products and emerging market countries, India, Latin America and other countries have frequently launched trade relief surveys for China's export commodities due to domestic industrial pressures.

In the first quarter, 19 Latin American countries represented by Peru and Argentina and India launched trade relief investigations in China, accounting for 76% of the total survey cases.

Among them, Argentina has 7 anti-dumping cases against China, and Shandong has 4 cases involving 37 enterprises, involving about 8000000 dollars.

The main products involved are footwear, steel hub and so on. India launched 8 trade relief investigations in China, 7 cases involving Shandong, 26 enterprises involved, involving tens of millions of dollars, involving products such as sodium nitrite, aluminum sheet and aluminum foil, soda ash and other products.

As the anti-dumping investigation took longer, the government of India launched more safeguards.

In the first quarter, a total of 5 safeguards and special safeguard measures were launched.
