Ticona, Florence of Kentucky, USA has developed 2 new brands of LCP/PPS (liquid crystal polymer / polyphenylene sulfide) VectraV140 and V143X, and the new brand has the properties of LCP and PPS two materials to meet the requirements of processing and manufacturing complex parts of electronic and electrical appliances and other industries.

Vectra V140 and 143X are easy to machine. Compared with PPS, there is almost no flash in injection molding, and because of the good fluidity of melt, high strength thin wall parts can be formed under low injection pressure. The molding temperature of the new product is 80~120 degrees below 135 PPS. Compared with straight chain LCP, LCP/PPS alloy products have high strength of fusion (Weld), and all kinds of products are warped at the end, and all of them retain the physical and mechanical properties of LCP and PPS, such as Vectra V140 tensile strength of 1450 MPa, bending strength of 230 MPa, compression modulus 16000MPa, and meet the technological requirements of lead-free soldering for electronic parts surface assembly.
