一是IT企業(yè)的工作性質從總體上講對性別的要求不是很高。IT企業(yè)不像制造業(yè)那樣對男性更為偏愛，相反一些比如網絡編輯這樣的職位，更適合于女性來做。她們不僅能夠坐得住，而且非常細心。

二是出于優(yōu)化性別結構的需要。IT企業(yè)中那些沒日沒夜的技術人員通常以男性居多，而且社會交往面也很窄。在企業(yè)中適當增加一些女生，既是“男女搭配，干活不累”的心理需要，也是解決這些男生戀愛婚姻問題的現實需要。

三是IT企業(yè)老板大都很年輕，對于女性的關注度本身也高些。互聯(lián)網技術的迅猛發(fā)展成就了一批年齡不大，但財產巨大的老板。年輕的老板，不說“好色”些，至少對女性的關注度甚過其它行業(yè)的老將們（他們畢竟是廉頗老矣，不能色也?。?。

四是寒冬中的IT企業(yè)降低成本的需要。受金融危機的影響，IT企業(yè)普通通過裁員降薪的方式來過冬。不排除其中有的企業(yè)在裁掉那些薪水較高的老員工后，通過招新人的方式來減輕成本。畢竟剛參加工作的大學生薪水不高，而且女生通常的薪水要求也低些。
