Vietnam Leather Shoes Exported 350 Million US Dollars In March
Vietnam footwear association (Lefaso) said that in March, Vietnam exported 350 million dollars of leather footwear, and exported 1 billion 30 million US dollars in the first quarter, an increase of 10.1% over the same period last year.
The main export markets are the European Union (60%), the United States, Japan, Mexico and Canada.
Lefaso said that because of the price being reduced by buyers, and facing competition from China, India and Bangladesh, there are not many export orders for leather leather footwear enterprises.
In addition, the EU anti-dumping duties on Vietnamese leather shoes extended to the first quarter of 2011, causing difficulties for Vietnamese leather footwear enterprises.
