India Agrees To Support Pakistan'S Textile Exports To The EU

New Delhi: India agreed to support it on Wednesday.

A plan was proposed to promote tariff relief for textiles in the flood affected areas of Pakistan. Earlier, India once opposed the EU initiative.

However, at present, two neighboring countries plan to double bilateral trade to 6 billion US dollars in the next three years.


However, India officials said Islamabad has agreed to fulfill all the reciprocal commitments of the South Asian Free Trade Area "Safta" in full sincerity.

After meeting with Pakistan's commerce minister Maher Doom Mohamed Amin Fahim, commerce minister Anand Charles refused to commit any timetable, although there are signs that bilateral commerce ministers will take some action after meeting in November.


In a joint statement, the two sides agreed to relax the business visa rules in November, allowing traders to get multiple entry permits for up to a year.
