In October 18th, the Jiangsu (Shengze) Textile Fair ended in Shengze.

The Jiangsu textile and clothing summit held in the same period "steady growth, structural adjustment and accelerated pformation and development" is one of the important activities of this Expo.

Xie Ming, President of Jiangsu Textile Industry Association, is the theme of the new normal thinking of Jiangsu textile and garment industry. Mr. Huang Weiping, professor and doctoral tutor of the Department of international economics of Renmin University of China, delivered a keynote speech on the current international situation and trade pattern.

About 400 people from Jiangsu's major textile and garment enterprises, textile and garment industry clusters, markets and the textile and garment associations of various cities (counties) will attend the meeting.

The industrial association and the people's Government of Shengze town of Wujiang district are hosting the Jiangsu Apparel Association and China Eastern Silk Market.

At the meeting, Xu Kunyuan, honorary president of the China Textile Industry Federation, fully affirmed the development of Jiangsu's textile industry, especially the textile industry in Shengze, Wujiang.

He pointed out that in recent years, in the face of complex and severe domestic and international economic situation, with the concerted efforts of governments at all levels, industry departments, associations and enterprises, the textile and garment industry has maintained a healthy development in the process of accelerating pformation and upgrading.

The textile industry in Shengze town of Wujiang has a strong foundation, bringing together more than 2300 textile enterprises, more than 6000 trading companies and more than 100 thousand shuttleless looms.

Owning a Chinese silk market, which is famous both at home and abroad, is the base for the dissemination of Chinese popular fabrics.

Holding the first Shengze Textile Expo is conducive to further strengthening Jiangsu's industrial advantages, integrating Jiangsu's industrial chain and promoting the pace of brand building in Jiangsu.

In the keynote report, the main business income of Jiangsu textile industry reached 1 trillion and 300 billion yuan in 2013, and has entered the ranks of trillions of industries for 4 consecutive years.

The main business income of Jiangsu textile industry increased by 869 billion 610 million yuan in 1~8 months this year, an increase of 5.6% over the same period last year. The profit in 1~8 month was 37 billion 580 million yuan, an increase of 11.6% over the same period last year.

From the perspective of economic operation, the scale, efficiency and export growth are relatively stable.

The textile and garment industry in Jiangsu has taken the initiative to carry out industrial pformation and upgrading and take the initiative to carry out industrial restructuring.
