With the opportunity of the tenth annual meeting of China Venture Capital Forum, the organizers of the forum, the central government and the Ministry of science and technology, jointly studied and decided that since 2009, Shenzhen has been designated as the permanent venue of the main forum of China Venture Capital Forum.

Experts pointed out that Shenzhen, as the most innovative and dynamic city in the country, has a unique advantage in hosting China's Venture Capital Forum.

Shenzhen has launched preferential policies for high-tech industries and venture capital investment. It has a cultural atmosphere of innovation and tolerance, a team of enterprising entrepreneurs and a comprehensive industrial cluster with a clear division of labor, especially for the launch of the growth enterprise market in Shenzhen.

In addition, Shenzhen is China's first venture capital pilot city.

Since 1994, venture capital system has been explored and created. At present, venture capital in Shenzhen has grown into a new investment and financing industry with a certain scale. The venture capital market system consisting of projects, funds, policies, equity trading market and intermediaries has basically formed.

By the end of 2007, the total capital of venture capital management in Shenzhen amounted to 60 billion yuan, with a total investment of more than 1000, with a total investment of about 40000000000 yuan, and about 60% of its investment in Shenzhen. 80% of them belong to the high and new technology fields such as electronic information, advanced equipment manufacturing, energy saving, environmental protection, biological medicine and new materials.

Among the 219 enterprises listed in the SME board, there are 18 listed companies in Shenzhen, ranking first in the cities in China, and 13 of these 18 enterprises have been supported by all kinds of venture capital. It shows that venture capital plays an increasingly important role in the development of high-tech industry in Shenzhen.

It is learnt that the China Venture Capital Forum was founded in 1999 by the Central People's Construction Commission and has been successfully held for the 10 time. The first 5 sessions were held in Beijing, and the latter 5 was held in Shenzhen.
