Nigeria Demands Restrictions On Chinese Textiles
According to fibre2fashion, a few days ago, the Nigeria Manufacturers Association and Nigeria Textile Manufacturers Association jointly asked the government to take restrictive measures on Chinese textiles.
At the current forum held by the National Textile Federation, the tailor's Garment Association and the FriedrichEbert foundation, the above requirements become the main topic. Chinese textiles are often labeled as "made in Nigeria" and are misled by consumers after Nigeria manufacturing, which will affect the development of domestic industries. PaulOlarewaju, executive director of Nigeria Manufacturers Association, said that these textiles and clothing have monopolized the Ibadan, Kano, Lagos, NigerRepublic and Onitsha areas and restricted the development of domestic industry.
