Xiamen's export enterprises should pay attention to it! Reporters yesterday learned from the Xiamen inspection and quarantine bureau that China's export of Algeria products was required to provide import quality inspection certificates when customs clearance was being carried out, which is the "new barrier" encountered by China's export products.
It is reported that Algeria is the main market of Xiamen products in Africa. It mainly deals with 7 kinds of products, such as machinery, electronics, canned food, ceramics, footwear, textile and clothing, flowers and trees.
As the inspection certificate is also an important proof of the import settlement by the Arab side, the Xiamen inspection and Quarantine Bureau reminds exporters to keep abreast of the relevant laws and regulations of the party on inspection, quarantine, customs clearance and settlement of foreign exchange, and to apply for inspection to the inspection and quarantine department in time, so as not to affect the customs clearance after the products are pported to Algeria, resulting in unnecessary economic losses.
It was revealed that Albanian did not inform China before the introduction of the new measures. The exporter did not apply for the inspection certificate in advance without delivery. Many goods were unable to go through customs formalities at the port, and were forced to stay in Hong Kong, unable to receive foreign exchange or even be returned.
According to statistics, in 2008, goods exported to Algeria from Xiamen port amounted to about 36000000 US dollars, of which 26 million 940 thousand US dollars were real estate goods, and 9 million 680 thousand US dollars came from other parts of the country. In the first quarter of this year, goods exported to Algeria continued to grow, reaching about 11000000 US dollars, an increase of 33% over the same period last year. Of these, $8 million 180 thousand was produced in Xiamen and $3 million 415 thousand for foreign products.
At present, AQSIQ is launching an urgent consultation with the Algeria government to avoid further expansion. The Xiamen inspection and Quarantine Bureau reminded the enterprises concerned that they had not arrived at the port of Algeria recently and could not pass the customs, or that the goods were still in pit, but they did not apply for the inspection certificate before exporting. The information and impact of the goods should be returned to the inspection and quarantine department in time for the AQSIQ to consult with the Algeria government.
