In 2008, due to the continued appreciation of the renminbi, tight financial policy, labor costs and raw material costs rose, and the economic slowdown in the US, Japan and Europe, and the impact of the US subprime crisis, the silk export prospects were still not optimistic.

In order to fully understand the current situation of the silk dress industry and explore the train of thought, methods and Countermeasures for the development of the industry in the new situation, the Hangzhou Silk Industry Association held a seminar on the economic situation of the silk dress industry in Xiaoshan on the afternoon of April 21, 2008 in the Daly (China) world first class silk dress base. A total of 43 participants from the 25 units and industry leaders in the Association participated in the seminar.
