Although the industry is still in the forefront of European countries such as Germany, Italy, Switzerland and France, the total output value of textile machinery in the 9 member countries of the European Textile Machinery Association CEMATEX is about 6 of the world's total. However, with the rapid growth of the sales volume of textile products in Mainland China, the demand for textile machines has also risen to the highest level in the world.

Consuming countries, and because of the annual demand of textile machinery in the mainland of about $10 billion, only about 5 of them can be self-sufficient, so that neighboring East Asian countries have the opportunity to increase output and become the second largest production area of textile machines.

In 2007, the export value of Taiwan's textile machinery amounted to NT $33 billion 700 million, about 1 billion US dollars. According to the Swiss SWISSMEN's evaluation, China's textile machine export ranking should be before France, and Switzerland is the ninth largest textile machine exporter in the world.
